After the success of Mangere Maker’s Day, MakerHood chose to to reactivate the Maker’s Day event, but this time in Otara.

The Te Puke O Tara Community Hall was once a central attraction and a vibrant space for the Saturday flea markets, but over the years has slowed down with only a few persistent stall holders left.

MakerHood saw this as a great opportunity to revamp the space and make it into the lively place it once was. It was great to see the public get involved and participate, with a lot of youngsters not shy to get their hands dirty, the true Maker’s spirit!
