the #makerhood is:
- A movement to help South Aucklanders grow maker culture – to tinker, to fix, to create.
- A network of people and organisations that promote maker culture, in both digital and non-digital expressions.
- A vision that sees South Auckland being known for inter-generational creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation.
The future of work is uncertain, and as a response #makerhood aims to grow creativity, problem solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset in South Auckland.
The work on the #makerhood started at a Mesa in late January, 2016, with the question: How might we unleash the potential of young South Aucklanders?
